ALS foundation
The Research Innovation & Development Trust (RIDT) at the University of Malta is a foundation focused on advancing research and development across various fields, including healthcare. In collaboration with the ALS Malta Foundation, RIDT supports initiatives aimed at combating ALS/MND (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Motor Neuron Disease). One of its key projects is the Malta ALS/MND Biobank, which collects DNA samples to investigate the genetic and environmental factors behind the disease, with the goal of identifying potential treatments​.
