Project MinE

Project MinE continues to progress as more countries actively join this groundbreaking global effort to unravel the genetic causes of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). By expanding the scope of this research, we move closer to understanding the complex genetics behind ALS and developing targeted treatments. The participation of countries worldwide is critical in achieving a robust and diverse dataset, further accelerating scientific discoveries.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all the Researchers, Donors, Partners and participants who have contributed their time, resources, and expertise to Project MinE. Your commitment is invaluable in driving forward this research, offering hope for a future without ALS.

ALS Centers

ALS centers play a huge role in providing specialised care, support and resources to patients diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). ALS centers are staffed by multidisciplinary teams of experts, who are dedicated to offer comprehensive care to patients.
Each country typically has its own network of ALS centers, and we encourage anyone affected by ALS, whether patients, caregivers, or family members, to reach out to their local ALS center for guidance and support. These centers are invaluable not only for receiving expert medical care but also for accessing the latest information on clinical trials, treatment options, and disease management strategies. Connecting with an ALS center ensures that patients receive the highest standard of care available in their country.

Corporate partners

Corporate partners play an invaluable role in supporting Project MinE both financially and intellectually. Their contributions not only help fund critical research projects but also lead to meaningful discussions on ALS, driving the analysis and interpretation of results. These partnerships enhance our ability to translate genetic findings into potential treatments, making them essential to the ongoing success of Project MinE and the global fight against ALS.

External partners

External partners play a crucial role in the success of Project MinE, contributing their expertise and resources to advance our understanding of the genetic causes of ALS. Key partners, such as SURFsara, provide high-performance computing infrastructure essential for processing and analysing vast amounts of genetic data. Also, laboratories around the world perform specific analyses that contribute to our research efforts.
The collaboration with these external partners enables Project MinE to push the boundaries of ALS research, driving great progress toward new discoveries and potential treatments.
