ALS foundation
The Associação Portuguesa de Esclerose Lateral Amiotrófica (APELA) is the Portuguese ALS Association. It is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting ALS patients and their families in Portugal. APELA also advocates for improved healthcare services and contributes to ALS research efforts, including its involvement in Project MinE, which aims to analyze genetic data related to ALS.
